Ian Good - Principal Consultant COHSProf

Ian has an extensive background in industrial chemistry and had a number of roles and responsibilities with multinational chemical manufacturers and suppliers. 

His 15 years with a Health and Safety Consulting business leveraged his chemical knowledge and expanded upon his quality systems background into health and safety as well as environmental systems.

Ian has audited power generation assets across Australia including windfarms, gas turbine, reciprocating and gas fired power stations to a range of legislative requirements as well as safety standards. 

Ian is an accomplished incident investigator and has conducted incident investigations covering areas such as port management, electrical safety and chemical handling. 

He has also conducted risk assessments for a number of major federal and state departments and well as major players in the petrochemical, manufacturing and munitions industries.

As a former NATA representative for an asbestos laboratory, Ian not only has field experience but technical experience in all types of asbestos.

Development and delivery health and safety training is a key area in which Ian has excelled. He holds a Certificate IV in training and assessment and delivers working at heights, confined space, chemical handling and a range of asbestos courses.

An incident investigation into an electrical incident that resulted in new processes to ensure the issue did not reoccur. 

Review of crystalline silica management at a major electrical generator.

Review of confined space gas testing procedures post major business changes at a paper manufacturer. 

Development of an ISO 45001 OHSMS for an industrial services provider.

Training in the areas of chemical safety, asbestos, crystalline silica, welding fumes and LOTO.

Ongoing support to a Melbourne University to safe transfer and exhibit their collections which are also dangerous goods.

Hazardous zone assessments for a major chemical manufacturer

Development of a static control plan to complement the hazardous zone processes of dangerous goods producer.
